BRASÍLIA, Federal District, Brazil — On Thursday, March 27th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 205: Pires vs. Abojer from the ASBAC Brasília in Brasília, Federal District, Brazil. In the main event, the bantamweight world title will be on the line when top Brazilian prospect Vinicius Pires (10-1) and top Argentinian prospect Lionel “La Bestia” Abojer (11-2) meet for the crown.
LFA 205, presented by MONSTER ENERGY, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by top-ranked UFC star Caio “The Natural” Borralho. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of Brazilian media personality Tiago Pamplona, who will work alongside UFC star and former LFA welterweight champion Gabriel “Marretinha” Bonfim. They will call the action live inside the ASBAC Brasília in Brasília, Federal District, Brazil. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Xiomara Piriz and Giovanni Garcia failed to make their contracted weight when they stepped on the scale. They will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents. LFA 205 will proceed with thirteen bouts, which includes the Bantamweight Championship at the top of the card.
