SALAMANCA, NEW YORK — On Thursday, August 1st, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 189: Kuziutina vs. Ellen from the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, New York. In the main event, LFA interim women’s strawweight champion Natasha “Kuzya” Kuziutina (5-1) defends her title against Bellator standout Bruna Ellen (7-4).
LFA 189, presented by Monster Energy, will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star and Strikeforce champion Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of BJJ black belt Plinio Cruz (Coach of UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira) and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, New York. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Everyone except Ilyor Bakhtiyar Uulu and Matt Adams made weight when they stepped on the scale. They will pay a penalty to their opponents. The middleweight bout between Jake Woodley and Marco Hutch has been removed from the card due to an excessive weight miss from Hutch. LFA 189 will proceed with nine bouts, which includes the Interim Women’s Strawweight Championship at the top of the card.
