NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK — On Thursday, February 22nd, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 177: Smyth vs. Magomedov from the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. The top of the card will feature a Championship Doubleheader. In the Main Event, reigning LFA Fans’ Choice Awards: Knockout of the Year winner Devin “The Prodigy” Smyth (10-3) faces two-time Russian national wrestling champion Shamidkhan Magomedov (7-1) for the LFA Interim Welterweight Title. In the Co-Main Event, Canadian regional champion Shannon Clark (4-0) will square off with Brazilian regional champion Thainay Lopes (5-0) for the LFA Women’s Flyweight Title.
LFA 177 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star, RFA great, and UFC on ESPN analyst Alan “Brahma” Jouban. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of former UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Everyone except Maurice Morris and Darryl Booker made weight when they stepped on the scale. They will pay a penalty to their opponents. The welterweight bout between Mirafzal Akhtamov and Diego Bianchini has been removed from the card after Akhtamov withdrew due to illness. LFA 177 will proceed with nine bouts, which includes the Championship Doubleheader at the top of the card.
