NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK — On Thursday, September 14th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 167: Piersma vs. Smyth from the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. The top of the card will feature a pair of welterweight wars.
In the main event, New York’s own Jonathan “War Hawk” Piersma (6-1) faces Dana White’s Contender Series alum Devin “The Prodigy” Smyth (9-3). In the co-main event, Russian wrestling champion Shamidkhan Magomedov (6-1) will square off with Uzbekistani Judo black belt Bakhromjon Mashrapov (7-2).
LFA 167 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star, RFA great, and UFC on ESPN analyst Alan “Brahma” Jouban. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of top-ranked UFC star and former RFA bantamweight champion Pedro “The Young Punisher” Munhoz and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Everyone made weight when they stepped on the scale. The heavyweight bout between Jimmy Lawson and Matt Adams has been removed from the card after Adams withdrew the night before weigh-in. LFA 167 will proceed with seven bouts, which includes a pair of welterweight wars at the top of the card.
