VAIL, Colorado — On Thursday, October 26th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 170: Talundžić vs. Frunza from the Evergreen Lodge in Vail, Colorado. The main event will feature an All-European welterweight showdown between top Bosnian prospect Haris “The Bosnian Silverback” Talundžić (6-1) and top Romanian prospect Daniel “Tigano” Frunza (7-2).
LFA 170 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by former UFC star and Strikeforce champion Gilbert “El Niño” Melendez. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of former PRIDE FC star and BJJ world champion Allan Góes and Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares. They will call the action live inside the Dobson Arena in Vail, Colorado. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Carlos Rivera, Diana Sanchez, and Walter Saragosa failed to make their contracted weights when they stepped on the scale. Rivera and Saragosa will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents. Sanchez was unable to lose additional weight and her bout with Brittany Camozzi is now off. LFA 170 will proceed with eleven bouts, which includes the Welterweight Showdown at the top of the card.
