Smyth returned to the sport for the first time in 3 years and scored the knockout with a highlight reel Spinning Heel Kick just 51-seconds into the fight. He is the godson of UFC Hall of Famer and Niagara Falls wrestling legend Rashad Evans, which saw the hometown crowd roar with excitement. In the co-main event, Russian wrestling champion Shamidkhan Magomedov defeated Uzbekistani Judo black belt Bakhromjon Mashrapov via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27).
