Richie Miranda dethrones Richie Lewis to become LFA lightweight champion at LFA 207

SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota — LFA celebrated its eleventh year of MMA in the “Mount Rushmore State” after the promotion brought the first sanctioned MMA event to the state in 2014. In the main event of LFA 207, Richie “El Machete” Miranda dethroned the reigning champion Richie “Savage” Lewis in one of the best title fights of the year. The top prospect competing in his ninth bout for the promotion, challenged for the LFA title in the same building where he made his promotional debut three years ago. Miranda weathered a storm of world-class wrestling early in the fight and gained momentum heading into the fifth and final frame. Miranda would eventually finish Lewis via TKO (Ground n’ Pound) at 2:04 of Round 5 to dethrone the champion. In the co-main event, top undefeated prospect “Merciless” Mitch McKee lived up to his nickname by dominating former LFA title challenger Greg Fischer via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). The other fight results can be found below:
